Announcement: Acoustic Guitar Lesson of "When I Was Your Man" is Online

This lesson involves an acoustic guitar rendition of the recent pop hit by Bruno Mars, When I Was Your Man. What's different about this is that the original song is played on the piano and this one is strummed on the six-string as interpreted by the instructor, Claude Johnson. Either way, it's a catchy tune that contains some cool chord progressions. Not only is Claude a teacher with Guitar Control, but he is also the president of the company. He's a proficient guitarist that has been studying the instrument for over two decades by playing and practicing with other skilled musicians. Furthermore, he has a refreshing way of teaching, as his guitar lessons are usually both fun and informative. Guitar chords are a big piece of the musical puzzle, and they're part of the beginning basics when learning. This lesson actually displays tabs on the side of the screen while he's playing so that viewers are better able to see the moves he's making on the guitar.

Beginner's Guitar Acoustic

Plucking should preferably be done with a pick. Now, after all of the boring shit, let's learn a song that you can play to your girlfriend. it is easy as hell and will sure get you some action :) Okay the song goes like this: e|----------------------------------------------- B|----------------------------------------------- G|-----------0----------0----------0----------0-- D|--------0-----0----4-----0----5-----5-----5---0 A|-----3-----------5----------7----------7------- E|----------------------------------------------- That gets repeated a lot throughout the song. It changes but not much, you can just simplify it to that riff. Put your index finger on the 3rd fret of the a string, pluck it and then play the next 2 strings open one after the reference other. Then pluck another open on the D string. That is the basic picking pattern for this song.
